Fairs

Today was my Summer Fair 2024! I'm inspired to write about these virtual fairs that I created along with my time working the Psychic Fair circuit around Long Island.

I have two fairs left in 2024 for the Fall and Winter seasons. You can head over to my website for more information and to sign up if you're inspired to do so.

Today's Summer Fair was the perfect reintroduction to doing readings again as my July break from readings comes to an end. It reminded me more so why I do this work, the power of Spirit, and just creating new connections with people on an individual level. I read two sisters today who lost their mother. I was concerned if their mother would come through for both of them since there was a few hours in between their readings. Plus! They both requested mediumship so I really was talking to their mother throughout the day requesting her to do all that she could to join each reading. And let me tell you...their mother was excellent! She brought through very recent and current events for each of her daughters. It was lovely!

Reading people who desire their readings. Who really want my assistance and they're wiling to be familiar enough with the process/experience of a reading to get the most out of their sessions and to enhance the potential for a clear stream to form between us and spirit.

My Fairs are run very smoothly. My Mars in Virgo plans all the details out. I have a spreadsheet of each participant's contact information, the type of session they'd like (psychic or mediumship), the method of communication for the reading (zoom, facetime, or phone), their phone number in case of technical difficulties, and payment.

I have each participant spaced out by 30 minutes so there's enough time to get out of their energies, begin the transcription of their readings, and have the wiggle room in case zoom or facetime isn't working.

Efficient. Easy. Smooth.

I hop on the call, press record, provide my opening speech, and get into the energy.

I believe I started doing my own virtual fairs a in 2022? Sometime around there. I requested assistance from Higher Mind which led me to use SignUp.com since that is a free account. Right when I needed the website....it popped right into my experience by Higher Mind dropping a breadcrumb to search XYZ.

Clearly...these 30 minute readings are at a reduced rate. They aren't the same as my standard 30 minute readings. The downside to waiting for fairs is that I do not do them regularly and that you have to be available on that day for the time slot that is free. Plus all of the spots may be full before you even realize that there is a fair. Upside is that it is cheaper.

I started my professional services and practice in 2018 which is when I auditioned for a psychic fair. I received the breadcrumb from Higher Mind to search and bam! I speak about this during my chat at The Cosmic Salon (essentially my biography) and fairs really started it all.

The positives of working psychic fairs were that I learned how to plug into someone's energy very quickly while also unplugging fast when the reading was over. I learned more and more about how psychic and mediumistic information funnels through the mind tool. Valuable and instructive. Crucial to my beginnings. However...that's it.

There were many more negatives to working psychic fairs than positives. Oh lord.

  1. They were about an hour from where I lived so Sundays were dedicated to traveling to Nassau County usually or at the very west end of Suffolk County.

  2. You weren't guaranteed to have people choose you to read them so essentially your whole day was a waste.

  3. People come in with all of their perceptions and expectations which are more difficult to work with in that setting, for a very short reading, as well as they don't have that initial baseline trust compared to a client coming to me from a referral.

  4. 15 minute readings suck. I hate them. 15 minutes were the standards for a reading. You can't do much in 15 minutes. If anything, the engine just gets started.

  5. I can't deliver my 5 minute opening speech to explain the board games rules. I need to give the speech. It is a basic presentation of the experience, what to expect, how to perceive it, how information moves, how I don't see time, XYZ. If I gave the speech then there'd only be 10 minutes left for the actual reading.

  6. Politics. Jealousy. Fakes. My god. It is the wild wild west concerning those who claim the title of a "psychic and/or medium". I just...well. It is an incredibly mixed bag of "practitioners". That's all I'll say.

  7. It isn't my environment. I'm swarmed with energies of everyone around. It can be loud. Too many people talking at once. It isn't optimal nor my ideal conditions. Group readings are different. I absolutely love doing group readings!

  8. People mostly go for entertainment.

  9. Did I mention how much I hate 15 minute readings?

So...clearly...many more negatives!

Then one day I received the idea to create my own fair. Virtual? No problem! Easy. I don't need to be in the same space as the person I am reading. I actual prefer phone readings the best! I get to be in my own space. My Sun is in Cancer so hello to my home! My nest! The client gets a recording and transcript so that's perfect and another reason to not have me be in-person.

Fairs also really do give previews for potential clients. If they are a little apprehensive to pay the normal fee and they're available for the fair then that works out well for them. Now..I no longer give any fucks about having to prove myself to anyone plus my lack of social media will hopefully lead those who come from referrals rather than working at a regular fair. It is word of mouth (majority of the time) so there's that baseline trust established.

It is 3 hours worth of readings which exceeds my 2 hour limit for a day. But that's fine since the readings are spaced apart and I have mini breaks.

Downside to my own fairs? Really....nothing! I create it. I control it. I organize it. I actually love them! Sure there are some no shows and people who sign up and back out last minute (before the cut off ends for refunds), but that's not that bad.

Maybe I'll see you at one of my fairs?
